I knew this came out. I was procrastinating, honestly.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for season four of The Walking Dead, but I’m also dreading it! You may find it silly for me to think this way, but I’m truthful when I say it takes an emotional toll on me each time I watch it. The survivor’s struggle is just so…hopeless. It’s draining.
Watch the trailer, then circle back around, and we’ll talk about it.
So, all the leftovers from Woodbury have taken refuge at the prison, and our intrepid band of misfits are doing their best to make it work. Did you see Carol giving knife lessons to the children? Geez. And that little girl who takes her hand by the chain-link prison wall? Totally a stand in for Sophia.
Speaking of children, there are so many more children, now! Criminy! Maybe it’s because I have two of my own, but when they start killing the kids left and right, I will have to leave the room. Seriously.
Also…Tyreese. I’m calling it now: Tyreese’s sister, Sasha, is toast. Also, maybe Tyreese. There’s a scene in the trailer where Tyreese, who is looking totally shell shocked (after what I’m guessing was finding his sister dead…you know the scene, I mean…he walks out of a door with flowers and is confronted with what I’m guessing is Sasha’s body. Plus, she’s not in the rest of the trailer! Just sayin’.), is surrounded be walkers and looks like he’s about to be overrun. But, probably not. I’m sure the others will come to his rescue at the very last moment.
(Remember, I haven’t read all the comic books, so I’m making wild assumptions, here. BTW, if you have read the comics, don’t spoil the story for me and others!)
And the prison is being overrun, because someone keeps letting in the walkers! And someone’s a traitor! And someone’s been “feeding” the walkers (what?)! And maybe they’re safer on the outside than in the prison (Oh, wise Hershel)!
The trailer ends with a hint of “Sanctuary.” Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese and another dude we haven’t met, yet, are in a car, and the radio is working. “Sanctuary,” a female voice says. “Those who arrive, survive.” Another wild goose chase for those desperately seeking a safe place?
