Musings During the Frankenstorm

My day has been kind of crazy: snow, Frankenstorm, my baby had a doctor’s appointment… all that good stuff. And with how insane stuff is this week (My furnace basically started shooting fire at me. Yes, I burned my arm and thought I was going to die), I haven’t really had time to come up with a good topic.

I set such a good example for my writers; I’m such a fine editor-in-chief.

So, here’s a grab bag of topics that probably don’t deserve an entire article. Or, maybe I’ll expand on them later this week or next.

1. I need to finish Dishonored before Halo 4 releases. I love Dishonored. It’s a great stress relief  burying a knife into various Englishmen with mustaches. I enjoy playing the game my own way. Halo, however, basically got me back into video gaming. And I need to shoot some n0obs in the helmet. That’s all there is to it. I’m so weak-willed.

2.  This might be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. (via Gizmodo) It’s a Myst book that actually plays Myst! How retro-awesome-cool-rad is that?

3. I want one of these. Seriously. I’ve wanted a working, wearable Pip-Boy 3001 for a long time. Seriously. If it could fit my iPhone, it would be even better. (via Zim Props)

4. Wreck-It Ralph  is getting great reviews. That makes me really happy. I can’t wait to see it. Maybe I can take my son to watch it with me. He already runs around yelling “I’m gonna wreck it!”

Okay. That’s about all for now. I’ll be back on Thursday for a for-real article, I promise!

Owl City Wrecks it with Ralph

I’m pretty eclectic when it comes to music. All there has to be is a discernible melody and a great hook, and I’m in. Plus, I also love gaming and geekery themed stuff, so, it was pretty much a given that I was going to like this new video from Owl City.

From the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack, When Can I See You Again? is a catchy piece of fluff right up my alley. The video incorporates scenes from Wreck-It Ralph and Owl City dude Adam Young bopping around with technicolor dancers. He’s kind of a goofy looking guy, but I enjoy him.

Take a look:

Like it or lump it?
